In line with our theme of the seven chakras, the next five weeks we will use poses, breathing and visualisation/relaxation techniques to tap into our Sacral Chakra. Lots of focus this month on hip openers to release and let of tension and tightness, exploring our own range of movement and flow in the body.
The essential purpose of this chakra is to stimulate movement and to bring pleasure into our lives. Moving our body through the outer world brings change, which stimulates consciousness and begins the awakening process. Physical movement, such a dancing, walking, or exercising, helps the blood and lymph through the cells, or even purify the body through sweating, all through the element of water. Moving wakes up the energy body.
