In line with our theme of the Seven Chakras, the next four weeks we will use poses, breathing and visualisation/relaxation techniques to tap into our Third Eye Chakra.

This chakra is associated with your intuition; your deep inner knowing. When it is functioning well, you have insight, and you trust your inner wisdom to face life’s challenges and choices.

The third eye which is also known as Ajna is located in between the eyebrows and certain poses can help us lead with this energy point. We develop a deeper connection to movement and breath through centering, stillness and visualisation.

The Third Eye Chakra gets activated when you are quiet, present and when you turn inward. By being present and turning inward you’re learning to listen to what’s happening in the moment rather than getting anxious about the future or stressing over the past.

Yoga is a great way to work with your Third Eye Chakra, as certain physical poses will help allow you to improve the flow of energy in your body and allow you to put more pressure on your forehead area.

When we practice yoga regularly, the third eye energy centre becomes steady, and we become more open-minded, intuitive, creative, and logical. With the regular energy flow, our mind and body become more relaxed.
