Aims of the Morning
Lead a session on why and how to prepare and mobilise key joints and muscles for Hatha yoga practice.
To explore a range of joint feeling and muscle strengthening techniques as students and teachers.
Objectives
- Able to perform asana within their own ability and use for class teaching accordingly.
- State the joints and main muscles that need attention/development in class.
Aims of the Afternoon
Lead a group Q&A session to develop creative skills in lesson planning.
Teach a session on other main joints and muscles for warming up in yoga class.
Objectives
- Describe various techniques/practices on limbering within a group.
- Explore various ways of mobilising/warming up the body.
Teaching Material Used on the Day
Lesson plans. Handouts, flip chart, music from iPod, props used for the class.

- Lecture of why we should prepare.
- Physical session lead by tutor.
- Q&A Session.

About Andrea Kwiatkowski

Andrea Kwiatkowski is a DCT for the BWY and a certified Advanced Jivamukti yoga teacher under Yoga Alliance as well as a Yin yoga and Restorative teacher. She teaches in Cambridgeshire.
Andrea has taught at Congress, London festival , teacher training week and offers training days for the BWY around the country. Her IST events include Sequencing In A Yoga Class, Deconstructing Challenging Asana, Restorative Yoga, Creative Limbering, Themes In A Yoga Class and Intelligent Use Of Props.
